After which, Ernest decided to change his career path to take a leap of faith into the unknown, as a full-time independent jewellery designer and artist.
Ernest has a Diploma in Fine Jewellery Design from Jewellery Design & Management International School, also trained in several jewellery fabrication techniques with powder metallurgy and traditional jewellery fabrication. He also had the privileged of experiencing the fine jewellery industry first-hand when he was with Harry Winston (Singapore) as a Sales Representative and Quality Control Officer. Behind Ernest’s design aesthetic lies a strong bond with his love for films and story-telling. He uses computer aided design and manufacturing processes for special-customized designs but his signature fabrication technique would be wire sculpting. It is process where by he uses precious metals like sterling silver or gold-filled wires, together with semi-precious gems to form and sculpt by hand into wearable, distinctive and unique pieces of jewellery art.
