I found this traditional ethnic Balinese locket/pendant whilst in Bali at a local contemporary jeweler's workshop. As lockets are not the indigenous jewellery style of the Balinese, the concept of it was inspired by the westerners during the colonial eras, thus when being created they fused traditional filigree work with this western concept to create this magnificent piece. The center features an oval purple cubic zirconia in sterling silver. The necklace is strung with amethyst beads and a unique magnetic ball clasp.
